Terry Brunner has been a professional artist over 20 years. After painting for herself for many years, she began her career in the Decorative Art industry. In 2002, she earned her CDA (Certified Decorative Artist) designation from the Society of Decorative Painters.

Terry started teaching in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia in 1990 and continues today. She travels throughout the US and Canada, teaching classes & workshops in oils and acrylics, for studios, groups and at trade show conventions. Her teaching credits include classes she taught for the Chrysler Museum Foundation and in 2008, she painted six large centerpieces for the White House. The pieces were displayed throughout the holiday season and will be displayed in the future at the George W. Bush library in Texas. Her work has been published in magazines in the US, Canada, Australia and Japan. She has illustrated a children’s book, Where’s Cecil? and, in 2007 illustrated the cover of a cookbook. Her work is displayed in area galleries and at the Society of Decorative Painters Online Gallery at www.decorativepainters.org/gallery.php. In 2008, one of Terry’s paintings was awarded “Best in Show” at the Charles Kello Gallery in Norfolk, Virginia.

She shares her knowledge of painting, color theory and design with hundreds of students each year. Her favorite painting subject is portraits but she also paints and teaches still life, florals, animals and landscapes.

Terry continues to express her views of the world through her brush. Her art work has been displayed and sold all over the United States and Canada, and as far away as New Zealand in homes, galleries and private collections.
